FMI launch nationwide "Operation Oats" for Flahavan's Oats

FMI ran a nationwide instore demo campaign for Flahavan’s Oats in Ireland. This was a joint campaign with RTE’s Operation Transformation to raise awareness of the importance of porridge in people’s diet in order to Live longer, Live Better.

The objective of the FMI team was to engage customers by demonstrating how to cook the delicious breakfast oats correctly. The secret to perfectly made porridge is to cook the oats in a pot and not a microwave, which was expertly demonstrated instore for the customers.

At the same time customers were educated about the benefits of slow release carbohydrates which helps you feel fuller for longer. They were also shown some of the healthy and tasty toppings that make it the perfect breakfast to start the day.


Flahavan family members, team leaders and the panel from RTE’s Operation Transformation team joined many of the instore demo’s and got involved in meeting and chatting to consumers about the porridge and the importance of a healthy breakfast.


The campaign was a resounding success and everyone was talking porridge oats while the hashtag #operationoats, used for the campaign, was trending on Twitter.
