Chio chips – ppm factum company helps legendary brand to success

This year ppm factum company succeeded in a tender for promoting the Chio brand that is distributed in the Czech and Slovak Republics by Intersnack.
The legendary brand of the famous Chio snacks prepared for their customers a brand new ATL and on-line communication, which aims to attract all ages in a very entertaining way.
The focus is primarily on the younger population but the brand also wants to appeal to the generation that remembers Chio from the 90´s when the jingle “Chio, Chio, Chio, chips!” was very widely popular.
A complete re-launch of the entire product portfolio is also part of the campaign. Chio Paprika is the main focus of the whole communication. Chio paprika has been the heart of the brand since the 90´s when it benefitted from its greatest popularity.
In the wide portfolio there are also flavors like salt, cheese and onion or popular barbeque with a pinch of chili. For lovers of extremes there will also be Chili & Lime flavor on chips with extra deep ridges.
For these product lines we have planned a series of tasting campaigns that will be gradually implemented in the Czech and Slovak modern markets. Typical features of the brand and its new communication we reinvented for in-store through attractive promotion that was built on strong graphics of POS and promo stands, so we managed to get to the stores youthfulness and entertainment via mobile flexible desks.  The desks have the added advantage of helping hostesses to reach the customers not only in salty snacks section but also in other hypermarket departments (beverages, main aisles, cash register lines), thereby expanding the impact of the action by up to 30 %, according to the measurements. New Chio costumes were part of the creative solution and they suited both the hostesses and the promoted brand.
The promotion has been implemented gradually throughout the year but at present the in-store campaign will be culminating until November 2017 by introduction of new attractive flavors of Chio. Promotion always relies on specially prepared promotional team who´s training takes the form of an entertaining workshop. This form of training results in highly motivated hostesses who, thanks to their knowledge of 4-color typology of customer, can reach all types of consumers in the form acceptable to them.
For even greater impact on the primary target group we prepared series of samplings that took place in areas with high and natural abundance of young people. We have visited the city parks, embankments and many interesting events in major cities. 
In addition, for this year´s Urban Culture Games held at the Prague´s waterfront we prepared a special zone that fit into a specific environment of the event and, on top of that, very sensitively communicated Chio brand as the Games partner.
Our approach combined with on-line and ATL communication resulted in above standard sales that will allow us to plan together with the client sweeping promotional campaigns for every new flavor of the Chio brand..
