Option One organizes sales events for the GraviTrax game in Poland

Ravensburger, a leading German supplier of games for children, launched their latest product on the Polish market – GraviTrax. One element of the promotional campaign for GraviTrax is a series of events held in the biggest toy stores throughout Poland. Option One, a Field Marketing agency belonging to the EFMP group, was in charge of organizing these events.

GraviTrax is an innovative system of modules and rails to allow designing, testing and constructing tracks (marble runs) taking into account the laws of physics. The idea of the game comes from wooden football tracks found in children’s playrooms. Construction elements of the GraviTrax module system allow building paths that in a dynamic way illustrate how the law of physics affect the ball that runs along the different tracks built by the players. Blueprints included help young constructors get started and then create their own projects!

Option One organized promotional events for the game in Smyk and Auchan stores located in a number of largest cities in Poland. GraviTrax was also promoted during Warsaw Comic Con – the biggest pop culture festival in Poland. In each location, hostesses in “lab coats” were helping kids assemble GraviTrax tracks, having a few games at their disposal. The GraviTrax track system can be extended indefinitely with a variety of rails, stones and loops, which activate the young constructors’ rich creative minds, allowing them to practise their manual skills while teaching them logical thinking. Observing the phenomenon of gravity and other laws of physics on their own track setups was great fun and excitement for all the participants of the event – both for constructors and their parents.

In each location, hostesses managed to convincingly present the GraviTrax starter set and expansion sets, translating into sales results that were highly appreciated by our clients. Many parents viewed GraviTrax as a worthwhile educational game, and stated their intention to buy it as a Christmas gift.
